(Birth: 14th March 1879 / Death: 18th April 1955) Albert Einstein was a German-American physicist usually termed as the greatest Scientist of the twentieth century and a notable physicist of all time. He developed the theories of relativiry and won the Nobel Prize for Physics in 1921 for hus explanation of the photoclectric effect .

In 1880, the year after Einstein's birth his family moved from Ulm to Munich, where Hermann Enstein. his father, set up a small electrical plant and engineering works. In Munich Emmein attended nigidly disciplmed schools. Ar the behest of his mother. Einstein also studicd musIc though throughout life he played exclusrvely for relaxation, he became an accomplished violinist.

 It is said that hc had learning disability in his childhood and he could not talk till he was three or could not read till he was eight . Whatever may be the truth behind it, one thing is absolutely true when grown up be was one of the best.

In 1933, soon after Adolph Hitler became the chancellor of Gemany, Einstern renounced his German citizenship and migrated to the United States.
Einstein was so convinced that Nazi Germany wIs preparing for war that he urged free Europe 10 am and recruit for dcfense.

His contribution to man's understanding of the universe was matchless, and he is established for all time as a giant of science.
